KOTA KINABALU:
The city police on Tuesday interviewed a senior party leader over the distribution of illegal leaflets containing slogans inciting hatred towards the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and its candidate, Christina Liew, two days before the 12th General Election However, the city police did not reveal the details of the interview except saying that investigation was still ongoing. The police investigation was following police reports lodged by Christina and Datuk Philip Yong, a former deputy president of Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) after the incident where a group of youths was found distributing the leaflets in the vicinity of Bornion Centre. With the help from members of the public, SAPP members apprehended four of them, including their driver. They were later handed over to the police who rushed to the scene after being contacted.
